PAST Regular events in Wheatley Library


Craft Groups

The FoWL Craft Group meets every Monday morning in the library (excluding Bank Holidays) from 10am to 12pm and every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 9pm.knitting needles

All crafts and everyone welcome.

Have a chat over a cup of tea and a biscuit – bring a project to work on, and if you don’t have one we’ll find one for you!

£1.00 per day and 50p for refreshments.  All money raised goes to the Friends of Wheatley Library Book Fund.

The Knit and Natter group meets on Monday afternoons, 2-4pm, in the library.  Term time only.

 Authors and Talks

Quarterly talks take place on the first Wednesday of the month, featuring local speakers and authors.

Talks usually begin at 10.30 so arrive in plenty of time to get a seat!  Refreshments will be served.


Book Groups

Wheatley library serves as a collection and drop-off point for several local reading groups.  Books are available in sets of up to twelve copies of a particular book (including a few audio books if someone in your group is reading impaired).

If you are interested an already existing group, or starting a new one, speak to a member of staff in the library.  If you are interested in signing up your own book group to the library service, follow the link below

Book Sales

Every last Saturday of the month there will be a sale of ex-library stock books – at very competitive prices!


Clarinet Group

A fun group for all abilities.  We meet during the first week of the month, onThursday evening 7.30-9pm.

£2.00 per session.  All money raised goes to the Friends of Wheatley Library.

Jigsaw Puzzle Swaps

Bored of doing the same old jigsaws?  Bring them to the library on one of our swap days and exchange it for something different.   Puzzles of 500 pieces or more.
